Before we mentioned that while most jobs and most community wealth comes from Independent, Locally Owned enterprises, large companies are the ones we constantly see on the internet and TV, read about in magazines and journals, and have to endure banners, signs and billboards from as we go about our days.

The common wisdom around this imbalance is that of course because these companies have far greater financial resources, they are able to invest far more in marketing efforts than are most Independent, Locally Owned.
